DECEMBER
Fri 18 - Schools Out, Westmorland Farm, 5yrs-12 yrs
Launch into holiday freedom with Elements! Water and mud play, construction opportunities or just chill with books in our hammocks. The farm is a glorious location to start off your summertime experience.
Mon 21- Tues 22 - Santa’s Workshop, Westmorland Farm, 5yrs-12 yrs
Let your imagination go wild creating Santa’s workshop with our resources. Make nature inspired gifts on this farm setting. Plenty of time for free play with trees, space and access to a pond and streams.
Mon 21- Tues 22 - Elements Plus @ the Estuary, Brighton, 10yrs - 14 yrs
Upsizing the fun and exploration with Elements Plus for the bigger kids. This time with all the inspiration and exploration of the estuary and beach areas adjacent our site in Brighton. A fun way for your tween to finish the year.
Mon 21- Tues 22 - Going Wild Christmas, Marshlands, 5yrs-12 yrs
Christmas themed experiences in our favourite reserve. Make nature inspired gifts and plenty of games. This Elements site has grassy slopes, native bush, and flowing streams so plenty of nooks to explore! A beautiful way to ease into the summer holidays!
JANUARY
Week 1
Wed 6, Thur 7, Fri 8 - Shipwrecked, Brighton, 5yrs-12 yrs
Ahoy there matey! Shipwrecked at Brighton - inspired by pirates, fairies and resourcefulness! Join the Elements team as we set up shipwrecked huts, seek for treasure and see where our imaginations take us. Plenty of time to explore in estuary, green spaces & beach environments.
Week 2
Wed 13, Thurs 14, Fri 15 Water & Wheels, Westmorland Farm, 5yrs-12 yrs
Changing up the farm site with more “water” and more “wheels” resources, loose parts and games for inspiration and fun. A good mix of group activities and time to play on this wonderful location with trees, green spaces, streams & a pond.
Week 3
Mon 18, Tues 19, Wed 20, Thurs 21, Fri 22, - Blast from the Past, Westmorland Farm, 5yrs - 12yrs
Roll back the clock and enjoy some old time fun. Experience old style games like 3-legged or sack races, “eslastics”, knuckle bones and more. Plenty of water and mud play, huts & pocket knives and all the usual Elements on the farm opportunities.
Mon 18, Tues 19 - “The Lorax” inspired, Marshlands, 5yrs-12 yrs
Inspired by Dr Suess 'The Lorax' let's protect & enjoy nature. This Elements site has grassy slopes, native bush, and flowing streams which makes for so many nooks to explore!! Each day is a great mix of Elements activities and plenty of free time for your child to immerse themselves in nature.
Wed 20, Thurs 21 & Fri 22 - “Where the Wild Things Are” inspired, Pines Beach, 5yrs-12 yrs
A three day programme inspired by ‘Where the Wild Things Are’. The Elements team LOVE using this site! Awesome old pine trees that are great for making huts, climbing, and giving us sticks and pine cones for being creative and active. Opportunities for using carpentry tools and finding huhu grubs!! Nearby is a beautiful beach which also offers wonderful treasures to be collected and enjoyed.
Week 4
Mon 25, Tues 26, Wed 27, Thurs 28, Fri 29 - Endless Summer Fun, Westmorland Farm, 5yrs-12 yrs
All our usual Elements experiences for children to be creative and active - climbing trees, making huts, digging in the mud, swimming in the creek, using ropes and pocket knives. Each day brings new games and experiences for children to be barefoot and wallow in the opportunity to be a kid and PLAY!
Mon 25, Tues 26, Wed 28, - Elements Plus, Westmorland Farm, 10yrs-14 yrs
Time for the big kids again! This group will join in with some of the experiences offered at Endless Summer Fun but also offer extension experiences for the big kids each day. Learn new skills & spend time in a different space with older peers.

Christchurch
Elements has had a presence around southern Christchurch since February 2017. In fact our launch week in Cracroft was the same week as the fires! We have used a variety of locations around Cashmere, Waltham, South Brighton, and Halswell.
We have largely settled into our home base of a Westmorland farm. This is an amazing space with farm paddocks of crop & stock, treed areas including natives and a pond. Especially enjoyed is the creek and an artisian spring which creates a special mini lake for us to use.
In conjunction with the Christchurch City Council, Elements has identified and using a fantastic reserve in Marshlands. This is easily accessible from both Marshlands Road and the motorway. This site has numerous walkways, streams and lakes. It has a great hill for rolling down and 3 glorious old barns for shelter.
Ashburton
In Ashburton we are fortunate to host Elements on the site of an aged care facility. Here we have a diverse range of areas - from scraggley old ‘river trees’, to beautifully maintained grass, garden areas and mature trees. What is also special about this site was the foresight of a previous owner planting native trees 40years ago - a fantastic area for hut building. The staff and residents of the facility are keen to develop some intergenerational learning across both of our groups.
Selwyn & Rolleston
Elements and Selwyn have a history of collaboration. We have been fortunate to be invited to participate in many Selwyn events including ‘Project Wild One’ and even the Teddy Bears Picnic. Selwyn has such a range of spaces that Elements would love to use. Recently we have been offering programmes based at Weedons Domain.
